You might think that you can see more than enough with your factory mirrors, but in fact you can't see the lane next to you. And that's what the main concern is when you're towing a longer load like we are with this camper here. So you can see me in the factory mirror going all the way back to the back of our camper. more

Hey guys, this is Jake here with Etrailer. Today we have a 2023 Ford F-150, and we're gonna be taking a look at the K Source Clip-on towing mirrors. Now, when it comes to towing mirrors, the biggest benefit is what we're gonna show you right now. When you're towing a trailer that's long like this, a lot of times you can't see the entire load in your factory mirror or you're focusing your factory mirror on your trailer and you're not able to see much to the next lane, if you need to change lanes, that's where these towing mirrors are gonna come in handy. So you can see me in our factory mirror right now, but if I move what were to be the next lane or two lanes over, you can still see me in our towing mirror and you can't see me anymore in the factory mirror. This is the dangers of not having a set of towing mirrors when you're pulling a load down the highway. more

One thing I really like about these mirrors, besides the fact that they install and uninstall super simple, these things are custom fit to fit these Ford mirrors. They're not gonna block your outside LED lighting, it's not gonna block the underside cameras or the puddle lamps. Today, we're taking a look at the K source universal towing mirrors on our 2020 Ford F150 The mirrors on our Ford F150 are pretty big. The one on the factory mirror of our F150 is a flat mirror. And as you can see as I go over, I seem to be a little bit more far away with the universal K source mirror, and that's just because of the shape of the mirror. And when it comes to towing mirrors, it's not just about you being able to see what you're hauling, it's also about other people as well. So you're gonna be able to see those people in the other lanes a little bit more clear. So it's gonna keep everybody on the road a lot more safe, and just give you a nice relaxing ride knowing that you can see everything around you. more

Our factory mirrors on our Ford F-150 are relatively big but the towing mirrors are definitely gonna help. It's not just for you the longer loads you're hauling, it's also just for the other people around you. The more you can see you, the more safe you'll feel whenever you're driving down the road. So it's gonna give you a little bit more of a relaxing drive, and then also everybody else on the road is gonna be much more safe when you have more view of the road. Clayton here at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out the CIPA Universal Dual Towing Mirrors on our 2020 Ford F-150. Adding tow mirrors to our F-150 is gonna be a great upgrade. This is gonna allow us to be able to see our trailer a whole lot easier. Whether it be a utility trailer, a boat, a camper, or anything like that, we always want to make sure we can see what we're hauling, especially when we're maneuvering tight areas. Our stock mirrors are pretty small, and being able to use a universal towing mirror that comes on and off is gonna be pretty nice because we're not gonna have to deal with the big bulky tow mirrors. more

Adding tow mirrors to our F-150 is going to be really good. Whenever we're towing, let's say a camper, a boat a utility trailer like we have here or anything like that, anything that we can do to get that extra visibility is going to be really nice. Our stock mirrors are pretty small although they do have that top corner that does have a little bubbled piece for towing. Really, you can't see much out of it. more

Longview Slip On Towing Mirrors Installation - 2019 Ford F-150- Video
Hey guys, today, we're going to be taking a look and showing you how to install the Longview custom towing mirrors here on our 2019 Ford F-150.So here, just to give you guys an example of the improvements we're going to have with our custom towing mirrors, as you can see now, I'm going to be visible here in our factory mirrors. But if I we're to step out to the right here, which would emulate a passing car, we wouldn't be able to see ourselves anymore in the factory mirror. We would however, then become visible in our custom towing mirrors. So these custom towing years here, they're going to be an excellent option for our F150. If we find ourselves to be towing frequently, they're going to be a must-have item.So the main thing that these are really going to improve is really when we're out on the highway. We're out on the highway, we have a very long rig with our truck and our trailer, and if we need to change lanes, we really need to account for a large amount of space, which isn't always visible here in our factory mirrors. more

The thing I like most about these mirrors is that they're going to have an extremely nice factory look, so it's going to look nice and clean and work in tandem with the functions of your mirror.Right away, you're going to notice it's going to have a nice clean look to match the black plastic on your factory mirrors. It's also going to have this clear window, so that if you have side marker blinkers for your mirrors, you're going to be able to see those through here. We don't have them, but if you do, this is going to work great with yours.As you can see here, you can still see your trailer through your factory mirror. But if I step over here, which simulates being in the lane next to you on the highway or on a city road, whatever it might be, this is super important to be able to see this lane also when towing a trailer.On the front, you're going to have a nice big manual adjustable mirror that you can tilt forward and backwards and side to side to adjust for wherever you might need to see. more

Today on our 2018 Ford F150, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Cipa custom towing mirror, which this is also available as a set and you can see etrailer.com.Now the reason we're going to want to add these tow mirrors is 'cause they will expand our field of view, and that's going to help us when we're backing up, parking, or even changing lanes. As you can see, you can tell that I am in our factory mirror next to our trailer. But our sight is limited with that. So I'm going to take a few steps over and you'll see that we won't have any blind spots and you can see much further past our factory mirror.Like I said, these are really going to give us an advantage when we're going down the road or backing up. One of my favorite things about these particular mirrors is how we can still utilize our factory turn signal. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. If I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see, there is no blind spot by the way we have it set up. This would be the view you'd get in your factory mirror only. The towing mirror itself is adjustable, just like our factory mirror. more

CIPA Slip On Custom Towing Mirrors Review - 2016 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2016 Ford F-150 Super Cab we're going to be doing a test fit on the CIPA Custom Towing Mirrors. This is for the driver and passenger side, and that's part number CM11550. The driver's side is available separately with part number CM11551 and the passenger side is available separately as well, and that's part number CM11552. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even backup while towing a trailer or camper. As you can see I'm visible in the towing mirror but not the factory mirror. Longview Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2008 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2008 Ford F-150 Crew Cab, we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the LongView Custom towing mirrors. These are a flip-on design. Come with the driver and passenger side. Part number is CTM2300A. Now, we're off to take a look at the advantage we get in the field of view with our towing mirror. We're about 15 foot or so behind the truck, and you can see, in the factory mirror you can see us fine. Today, on our 2012 Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab, we'll be doing a test fit on a CIPA Universal Bar Clip-On Towing Mirror, part number CM11980. It offers us a wide field of view. It's going to allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a trailer. As you can see, I'm visible in the towing mirror but not the factory mirror. If I take a few steps in towards my trailer, you can see by the way we've got it set up there's no blind spot, but this is view you'd get with just your factory mirror. The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees and can be adjusted to most angles. We've got our up and down, side to side, and even diagonal if we want. By loosening up the nut up top here, it allows us to extend our mirror out so we can further suite our towing needs. more

K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2013 Ford F-150- Video
Today on our 2013 Ford F150 Super Crew Cab, we'll be doing a test fit on the Ksource universal clip-on towing mirror, part number KS3891. \ The mirror itself can be adjusted to most angles. We've got our side to side, up and down, and even diagonal, and by simply removing the Phillips-head screw here at the back, we can adjust our mirror to the horizontal position. You can see how the four tabs are not gonna interfere with the operation of our factory mirror. We've still got plenty of movement, and we can even still fold it in. Here on the back, you can see that it uses 2 straps to secure it to our factory mirror. It has large rubber pads, so you're gonna get a tighter fit, and it's not gonna harm the finish of our mirror. more

The mirror itself can be rotated 360 degrees and can be adjusted to most angles. We got our up and down, side to side and even diagonal. By loosening up the large nut up top here we can extend our mirror out to further suit our towing needs. Once we got it set we just tighten it down. more

Today we're going to be looking at K-Source Snap and Zap Custom Towing Mirrors. These are add on custom towing mirrors for the driver side and for the passenger side. Part number is KS81800. Now you can see these custom towing mirrors are an excellent addition to your truck to help towing a little bit easier. This is going to give us an additional mirror here, that's going to extend our field of view and allow us to easily see our trailer when we're trying to negotiate around the campsite or even headed down the highway trying to change lanes or pass. Now here's a good look at the difference you can expect in your field of view between your factory mirror and your towing mirror. As I step out, I'm about 15 feet behind the corner of the truck there beside the wheels on our trailer, you see as I step out you can see me fine in our factory mirror, but here's where you kind of start to lose me. more

Our mirror's adjustable up or down and side to side. By removing the screw back here, we're able to adjust our mirror vertical or horizontal. Today, on our 2005 Ford F-150 Super Cab, we'll be doing a test fit of the CIPA Universal Bar Towing Mirrors, part number CM11980. It offers a wide field of view, so we can safely and easily change lanes, pass, or park while towing a trailer. As you can see, I'm only visible in the towing mirror. One of the great features about this mirror is that it can be telescoped out. We'll come up to this big nut here, we'll loosen it up, and then we can draw our mirror all the way out as far as we want it. Once we've got it out, or set anywhere we want, we can then tighten it back up. Our mirror can also be adjusted up and down along our bar here by loosening this up here. more

Here's the view you get with just your factory mirrors and this is the view you get using the long view custom towing mirrors. Now here's what your custom long view towing mirrors look like when their installed. What makes these towing mirrors different than the other mirrors that we sell is these don't use any straps they just slip on the mirror making it really easy. They simply slip on over your factory mirror and don't interfere with any of the functions. You can also fold them in without it getting obstructed. more
